So ID consults isn't really my thing, I've realized. I don't like the pace nor the single-aspect focus of the consults. I, at this point in time at least, prefer the more thorough and comprehensive approach to patient care. I also like having my own patients rather than be consulted on others'.

I am so fucking ridiculous.

I managed to get the biggest crush on my fucking attending sometime during the 4 weeks I was on wards. I have no idea what the fuck is wrong with me. I had a meeting with him today for feedback and to discuss letters of recommendation and the entire meeting was a painful reminder that I really suck at talking to people ( Read more... )

As much as I enjoyed my wards rotation, I felt very, very dissatisfied leaving it. I didn't live up to my own expectations and I didn't do newly as well as I had hoped. I am positive that I was viewed as mediocre by my attending and residents. I really wanted to impress them, and I didn't.
